Kingsgate Kitchen operate the catering, bars and events at Chapel Gate sports club, Parley, Christchurch.
Our Story
Chapel Gate has been home to ‘Kingsgate Kitchen’, since 2021, under the leadership of Ricky King, (self-proclaimed ‘Head Honcho’). Ricky directs the business with four decades of experience in corporate hospitality and events, with his focus being on ‘great food & drink, at a great price’.
Kingsgate Kitchen is the exclusive caterer on site, working under the wing of Bournemouth University Community Business, and operating within the Clubhouse and reaching out to external catering on site when required.
Chapel Gate
Chapel Gate is located next to Bournemouth Airport. It is a sports facility and home to a variety of sports including football, rugby, hockey, cricket, squash, table tennis, archery and rifle shooting, to name but a few!
Whilst Chapel Gate is well known for sports, including hosting the world’s largest sport and music festival, Bournemouth 7s, it is also an ideal setting for any occasion, including both private and corporate events.
The clubhouse is open to all guests; no membership is required. Events can be hosted in our Main Bar, Courtyard Room or Champions Seminar space, with the choice of high-standard catering options.
Kingsgate Kitchen caters for many types of events such as corporate ‘away days’ & training sessions, birthday & anniversary parties, celebrations of life, end of season/term parties and presentations, and of course, the big one, the big day….weddings in the Courtyard Room.
Weddings
The Courtyard Room at Chapel Gate is a great venue for that special day. Its, out of town, with open space, amazing value and a blank canvas to dress our environment to reflect your personalities and tastes. Our Wedding breakfast, options, include classic three course wedding breakfasts, charcoal fired BBQ’s, big pan paellas, and beautiful finger buffets. Add ‘daisy’ our cute ice cream trailer and you have a very special event….

Our team are on hand to offer you support to organise your post ceremony gathering. We have considerable experience in hosting families and friends with catering at this important time.
The Courtyard Room is a quiet setting, ideal for reflection, and reminiscing, the celebrations of life. We are located within a short drive of Bournemouth Crematorium and North Cemetery.

Kingsgate Kitchen is pleased to offer three distinct hospitality spaces within the overall clubhouse. We have individual seating capacity from 24 to 114, or combined seating of 242 across the three rooms.
All three spaces have access to outside seating to make the most of this beautiful site on a sunny day!
THE COURTYARD ROOM
IDEAL FOR WEDDINGS…COMTEMPORY AND LIGHT

- Upto 24 seats with tables that can be configurated for training in a classic ‘U’ layout, or boardroom style for focused presentations.
- Fully IT supported with digital presentation screen and sound systems.
- Separate, private toilet.
- Local ‘Bad Hand’ coffee available.

MAIN BAR

Food & Drink
The main bar at Chapel Gate is a sports centric destination and venue, that is open to all customers, public and members. We are open when teams and individuals are training and playing on site, so our opening hours echo these days and timings, alongside pre-booked events and the sporting calendar.
